St. John’s, with assistance from the Australian Government, proposes to
present a series of free workshops, designed to increase confidence in
everyday technology and enable you to keep in touch with family and friends
on-line. Be Connected is an initiative aimed to improve internet and computer
skills that empower older citizens to thrive in our digital world.
Sessions are being planned for 3 hours on Tuesdays between the months of
April and October, but details will be dependent on interest and availability.
Topics proposed include:
 Absolute basics
 Using your device
 Safety first
 Images and Digital cameras
 Keeping organised
 Get On-Line Week (14-18 October)
Get ready
… our fourth session starts:  Wednesday 10th July at 10:00 am at St. John’s
in Springvale
Anything else?
Bring your own device if you like, we hope to have laptops for you to use,
think of lots of questions, come with a sense of humour, an open mind and a
twist of tenacity register your interest ASAP spread the word – everyone
welcome (we’re looking for 30 participants)
